What is Not Truth?

I think, in retrospect, I’ve been trying to reduce instances of hyperbole in what I write.

My next thought was:

Given my understanding of my own brain, limited (though ever growing) as it is…

Once the line of truth has been crossed – sometimes unknowingly, though never unknowable – it seems to me that everything beyond that could maybe lie on a spectrum; differing only by degree.

How heavy, so to speak, does an instance of hyperbole have to be to become an exaggeration? A lie? Where, exactly, do we begin to color a Lie, White?

Even knowingly allowing another to be misled, via silence-

All of these things seem, to me, to have crossed the line from Truth to Not Truth.

And Truth is becoming a Law in Brookeland. I’d say Not Truthing of any degree is Not Truthing, and constitutes a Felony Class Violation within the Seriously Silly Law School of Brookelandia.

I spent three years living on the street in Los Angeles. I came out of that, changed. This is my story.
